We are convinced that there is no better way to learn a language than being immersed in the culture and learning style of a country. The objective of our programme is to give Spanish children the opportunity of being immersed in British culture in order to improve the language and to experience the differences as well as similarities of both cultures.
Every year we bring a small group of students for three or four weeks, at the end of the Summer Term. Our students are hosted by families with a child of the same age and gender and we kindly ask the school the English child attends to allow our Spanish student to shadow him.
This gives them a much better insight into the culture and life in the UK, hugely improves their language skills, allows them to make friendships, enhances their interpersonal skills and confidence and provides them with an unforgettable experience.
We usually place one or two students per school but in some schools we had as many as fifteen students as there is a big demand from families to participate. As a sign of gratitude we offer a fee per student attending the school and we are available at any time in case the school needs our support.
Every student is carefully interviewed and we make sure they are polite and understand their responsibilities with teachers and other pupils. They are fully insured to cover them for any eventuality that may occur during their trip and details of the policy can be sent on request.
